Gavin Newsom is at it again. He is trying everything possible to erradicate the gun culture and the next generation of gun owners. His plan...to make the next generation so ignorant about their Second Amendment rights that they would not think of taking up shooting or hunting for protection or sport.
AB 2571 was passed by the legislature and immediately signed into law by Newsom on July 1, 2022. Without warning, youth shooting programs and events had to be cancelled. Trainers and coaches had their hands tied because under the new law they cannot even talk to anyone under the age of 18 years old about firearms, firearm related products, or events. Ranges were forced to stop youth events where thousands of kids get to expereince firearms and outdoor sports for the first time under the watchful eye of trained range safety officers.
Newsom doesn't care about the kids and teams that have put in long hours at the range to be the best and maybe go to the olympics one day. He doesn't care about the parents who have invested years and financial resources to get their kids proper training and equipment. He doesn't care about the grandparents that want to take thier kids hunting and try to sign them up for a hunters education course. And most of all Newsom does not care about gun safety with kids. We know these things are true because in this new law, Newsom recklessly did away with all of these. Instead of fighting the criminals who commit acts of violence, he is fighting your kids.
